I LOVE it! The colors look great together.
P.S. Is the round piece a marble or a bead?

I'm not planning to put anything in it, maybe a bigger ornament or something Smiley

One of those big knotty rattan/viney-type balls would make for an interesting contrast with the sleek black and white.

Yes, totally. I was pondering the other day about how easy it would be to make those vine-balls!

They're not difficult at all - it's just a matter of getting the vines fresh and being meticulous about winding them tightly so they stay together once they're dried.  Wild grape vine works nicely, as do small virginia creeper vines - both are worth stripping of their bark if you have the patience for it.

Those balls are also relatively cheap to pick up - I have a big gold one I paid a whole $4 CDN for.

Wow, I'll definitley try the vine thing. I live near the Finger Lakes Wine region where there are loads of vines! Now I wonder if you need a sphere base in the middle (like a baloon filled with sand) so you can get a perfect round shape...or just eyeballing it, well, I'll have to just trial and error it, its the best way to find out what works.
