I made a birthday present for my sister in law and realized that it fell into this challenge so I thought I'd post it...

I started out with a desire to try my hand at stenciling.  I loved how the stencil came out and will be doing a lot more of this in the future.  I couldn't believe how easy it was!  So then I put the stencilled piece on this really pretty black satin with butterflies and added some beads sewn onto the stencil panel.  When I was done with that, I realized that it didn't look very good on that fabric so I pulled out some old jeans and made the bag out of it.  There is a really cool teal colored lining and the original fabric for the handle.  Anyway, I can't talk it up, I honestly think it could have looked a lot better, but oh well.  I'm a perfectionist who is never happy with my finished product.

I think it's a very cute bag.
Do you have a bigger / more detailed picture of the beading?

I know, it's a horrible picture!  I was lucky to have this one.  I was emailing my mom and describing the bag but decided I could just send her a little picture of it instead and this is the only one I took.  I already gave the bag away so that's that...
Oh well.  I'll just have to make more!
