forgive the crappy picture, but here's my attempt at Yoda...

I don't like the way his face turned out - he looks too mean, but that's my lack of embroidery skills more than anything else.  So far everyone who's seen him thinks he's adorable.

He's cute!!  (And a little pissed off, but that's okay!)  Your Yoda's head turned out better than mine.  Sad
Wasn't he easy and quick?  (Okay, maybe not easy, since my pattern-writing skills suck.)

I thought it was pretty easy to do, and relatively quick.  I figure anything that takes less than a week is quick.  Smiley  I did use size 6 needles to get a firmer fabric and for the undershirt thing used sock weight cotton with size 2 needles.  I made a solid piece that was basically a rectangle (10 sts wide) until it was long enough.  Then I k3, bo 4, k3.  I worked the two k3 sides up one at a time to make it sort of like the front of a tank top.  I sewed that in place under the robe and then added the little brown sash thing which I crocheted.  My only complaint is that he doesn't stand up on his own very well, but I think if I'd stuffed him with something other than cotton balls (it was all I had on hand) it would have come out better.  I definitely think I'll make another one and see what can be done to tweak the pattern a little, if you don't mind of course.

I don't mind at all!  I know mine has some kinks that could be worked out.

You see, I knew smaller needles would've been better!!

my first post! woohoo!

I saw all these yodas and I just had to make one for my hubby who is mega yoda crazy Smiley

I loosly followed the pattern posted here, the arms I just couldn't seem to get to work for me so I just made I-cords and sewed them into the robe holes, next time I'm sure I will try to get them better.

Dyed the yarn myself from a sweater I recycled from the thrift store for 99c.

three pictures, starting here:

Ooh, it's perfect! I love his little scrunched face. It makes him look very old.
