So anyway I had this pair of jeans that were my absolute favorite (we all have those, don't we?) and I managed to put massive holes in them... so I decided I was going to patch them.  I patched them all over with these stars (shown on bag) and loved the jeans even more than I had before.  But alas, 3 years later there were too many holes to repair so I though the jeans were finally going to have to be laid to rest.  Then I remembered I had an ugly bag that needed a new life... so the old jeans and the ugly bag got together and made a wonderful new creation!  I deconstructed/reconstructed the bag using the pockets from the old jeans and then the left over fabric I managed to dig up from the first time I patched the jeans.

Here's the new bag:

Here's a close up of the pockets:

Here's a close up of the stiching on the strap (Thanks to my mother's wonderful Pfaff sewing machine... I want one):

And then here's a picture of the ugly bag before I started.

Sorry I don't have a picture of the jeans from before... I have several at home, but none on my computer.  :-(

Hope you all enjoy my new favorite bag!

Hey KatieJoy,

Your bag reconstrution turned out really well!

My friend and I make bags just like that to sell at farmer's markets in the summer.  It's one of my favourite projects.

From the book Godless:

Just Al: I know that God is real. I feel his presence in my heart
Me: What does it feel like?
Just Al: It's hard to describe Jason. It feels good.
Me: Oh. I thought maybe it was like heartburn or something.
