HI EVERYONE, just wanted to start a swap in australia, save on postage etc, more chance of suprises getting there, and to spread some christmas cheer.....
If anyone interested leave a message here and pm me...

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL................ ...

It is my first time to organize, are the below details ok?

Swap name:  Aussie/NZ Xmas card with a small suprise Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap:   Cyndiq.

Sign-up date range:  November 12-14 about 6-10 people.
Date to send item by: ? November 30/ December 5th?

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional):  12

Non-Aussie/Nz. participants allowed? depends on group if they want to mail further than nz or oz.
All ages allowed? Or 18+?  All ages

Details of swap:

The idea is to make one small craft item and post with nice xmas card (handmade Card would be nice but not essential).  It should be physically small  and easy to post to save postage but still make for a nice gift.

Howmany people do you want to send out to? if we keep the item small and our numbers are small maybe we will send a little something to all.

I was thinking along the lines of small items like, small coin purse, small wallet, earings/bracelet/necklace, pouches, lavendar/potpouri sachets, set of gift tages, book marks. Christmas tree decoration.  Anyother ideas?
Just an idea hope you want to join. cyndi

SIGN UPS NOW CLOSED AS OF NOW THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE ARE IN..
hi everyone the final list of participants is as follows:

1. cyndiq
2. ellipse
3. jane feebles
4. twelvety
5.qazicat
6.jane doe
7. ralph
8. jan_on_ice
9. Jehnaie

hope thats correct.
I will now close this sign up as of now.

Does everyone want to send to 8 others and recieve 8, or do we want two groups.
please let me know asap, i will send details out once i know what the group wants.

cheers cyndi

you don't have to put that info down until you  have made it official that you are organizing a swap. you can just put down the details so people can read and see if they'd be up for it. sounds like a good idea though - too bad i won't be around to participate!

I'm interested but it's the whole "high level of skill" thing that would be a problem. I am just not all that good at any one craft, I love it, don't get me wrong but I am the first to admit that my skills really aren't up there.

This is a lurking post. I want to consider this... if I have a high enough level of skill.

Well that's settled, let's partner up stargirl52 and twelvety! Just kidding  Wink

You guys, you're focusing too much on the whole "skill" thing.
I'm sure the intent wasn't to be snobby about people's talents, more that, whatever you like to do, do the best you can at it.

Stargirl, I know you can knit so people like me who are inept with knitting needles would love to recieve something you've spent time on knitting. And twelvety, I know you crochet. Not only that, you've written a pattern!

i'd be interestred if the turnaround time wasn't so short
I have a huge craft fair on the 4th of December so my priority has to be that.
What about in the post by December 10th?

plus i think the term 'craft with a high level of skill' implies that we should take our time and not be rushed?

Hi everyone I just modified what i had originally written. To be honest i wasnt sure what to write and had copied another post a bit. I hope it sounds ok now.

I am happy to make the sign up soon if suits or another week.

Mail out could be changed to dec 18th so we would get the suprises for the week of xmas. It would make it very festive!!

If our group is small, like 6 people or so do you want to send to each person, it would be a lovely xmas bonus. just real nice but small stuff. That way you will get a little different thing from each. I have lots of ideas to make but what other ideas do you all have.

cheers cyndi
