i never told you guys that i finished this.

well, i ended up using bulky yarn and big needles instead of the smaller gauge i was talking about just so i could finish it quickly and see what it was like. it only took a day of knitting (and i am a pretty slow knitter lol).  i have to say, it is very cute, but i would love to try it out with thinner yarn when i have the time.  the bulkiness is a little too much.   other than that, it's a great pattern and i'll be happy to post a picture when i can take one.

btw, skillj -- I LOVE THAT COLOR!  it's gorgeous!

I'm done!!! I think I could've added a few rows to the main section (I'm 5'9"). It turned out pretty cute anyway! I'll post pictures when I get home from work

Just thought I would let you guys see how far along I am!

I decided to make this a bit longer than a capelet, because I realized while knitting this that if I made it a capelet, I would never wear it! So it will be normal length... maybe a touch short.

Anyways, here are some pics!

I did a bit of increasing on the front bits so they close in the front. I also have to say, this is a really easy pattern once you figure out the gauge. I am glad I restarted it. (only on Tuesday! This is a fast project..) I felt so mad after my first one came out so big and bulky... it looked awful. Got the gauge wrong, and made it too big, of course.

I finally got my 2 skeins of Knitpicks Sierra in the mail this week and cast on 2 nights ago -- I'm more than halfway through the raglan increases and can't wait to finish this. It's going pretty quick so far. I'll have to wait and see how it comes out before I decide whether I keep it or I give it to my sister for Christmas...

It's a little bit too short, so I have to add several more rows before the 5 ribbing.  I forgot what kind of yarn I'm using, anyway, I thought the color is a little bit weird.

I love the colors just as is!   I think yours is my favorite I've seen of these so far...

Xiuxiu, I like yours a lot! Very cool colors, and it looks wonderful and fun. Great job!

And Nixx, the Sierra actually knits up less bulky than I thought it would when I first looked at it as a skein. I haven't actually worn anything knit from Sierra before, so I don't know what it feels like on, or what my completed capelet will look like, but so far I'm quite pleased with the way it's knitting up.
