I made my first stencil, a layered stencil at that.
I was really happy with how it turned out.
The front was the layered stencil of a man on a bench...
The lyrics on the back say "Sitting alone on the sidelines"...it's from an Adam Richman song.
This was a request from my brother...

haha, my brother was making weird faces.

and a bag I made...excuse the wrinkles...it survived a pit and crowds at a show a couple of weeks ago...

EDIT...I fixed the pics...

The bag is so pretty!  Did you just paint it on or is it a stencil?  And is that a real necklace cuz it sure looks like one?

I used a stencil for the girl...but then I did the streaks of color once the black had dried.
As for the necklace, I put pearls there, to give it some dimension.  Smiley

I'm curious, what does the little pin say?  And that stencil is so cute, would you be willing to share it?!

I used an acrylic paint made for fabric, I found it at my local craft store.

As for the stencil of the man, I used this picture and just cut out the the man on one stencil and the bench on another.

The pin on my bag says "Be Positive".  It's a thing started by two girls in NJ to raise money for pediatric cancer research (in response to the diagnosis of Andrew McMahon of Something Corporate/Jack's Mannequin)
