this is my very first post - I had to start sometime, right? I made this purse a while ago from a pair of very old overalls. Sorry, I couldn't get the pics to post right. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sandyharned/detail?.dir=5d18&.dnm=942d.jpg&.src=ph
 First, I cut off the legs and separated the front and back pieces. I took the back piece and folded it into itself so the straps would begin right over the butt. Then I matched it up to the bib piece and sewed them together. I sewed the straps onto the bib piece so they wouldn't come undone (and also because one of the buttons had fallen off long ago and I never got around to putting on a new one).

I used part of one of the legs for the bottom, lined the bag and patched up the pockets.

I love having all the pockets, and the belt loops are great for me to clip my keys to so I don't have to go digging for them. So there it is.  Smiley

I agree, this is by far my favorite jean bag. I've never seen one like this-- its kinda slouchy and I LOVE it. great job.
