That's your avatar on the bag! How clever is that!!

I started Prince of Tides this weekend. I'm really enthralled! Forget the movie and Babs, ish. The book, so far, is amazing!

FINALLY!  I'm posting the AMAZING package that Faerietail sent me!  She went above and beyond (as many of you did...and crafted way too many items (not that I'm complaining!)

A tote bag with an inner zipper pocket, a small zippered pouch, a bookmark holder, three handmade bookmarks, and a book that's actually three books in one!

the tote bag:

all the stuff:

Thanks again Faerietail!

the bag says: "it is above all by the imagination that we achieve perception and compasion and hope."  I'm assuming it's from the book that Faerietail sent?  (Help me out here!?!?)

Hehe, the quote is from Ursula Le Guin, who wrote the books (The Earthsea Cycle) -- it's not from the books though Smiley

I got my package awhile ago, but had to wait to post pictures. But here they are!

Marshma11owpeep sent me all kinds of awesome stuff. I love it! Here are the books she sent:

A retelling of Beauty and the Beast and an exploration of the use of fairy tales in children's psychology. So excited. Somehow she knew that I've been reeeeeally into fairy tales lately and I love folk tale theory!

she also sent a bunch of beauty and the beast themed magnets as well as awesome alphabet magnets:

and a lovely tshirt with this ironed on the front, all vintage chic:

Thank you so much!!

Great stuff!  Beauty is a great book.  I used to reread it all the time.  I just reread Robin McKinley's other take on Beauty and the Beast.  It's called Rose Daughter.  I would also recommend that one if you are interested.
