Boxy Blanket

I think I must have used 15 pairs of jeans for mine! All I used was jeans and thread! I love my new blanket and I can use it for so many different things! It's great for a picnic too! And I'm thinking about making curtains to match cause I love it so much!







My project is pretty self explanatory - I just cut a ton of squares and then sewed them together and ironed in between so the seams in the back would be neat and flat because there is no backing or anything.. just bare edges so the ends fray! I love it!!

I hope you like!! I took the one with my hand in the picture so you could get an idea of how big the squares are. And I wanted to show off my wicked cool admission bracelet for the Dance Olympus convention yesterday in Boston!  I am such a nerd. I was just looking at all the projects everyone has entered so far and there isnt a single one I don't like! We are all so very talented! It's extreme!

Wow, that's a great blanket!
Would be perfect for a picknick too. And I love your idea of matching curtains.

Thanks so much!!  I really like that organizer thing you made! You did a very nice job! It looks like I need to start wearing out some more jeans so I can make those curtains! It's going to look so cool!

I'm not a quilter either! This is the first time I do anything like this and it wasn't hard at all! If you want to make a quilt then this pattern would be the way to go if you want to keep your project simple.  And if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Awe thanks so much yu guys! Yes! Definately steal my idea! And take a picture and show me how it comes out! I'd say my blanket is about 6' x 5' for now, but when I can get my hands on some more worn out jeans I'm going to make it bigger! Thanks again for the nice comments! They really mean alot to me!

That is a very cool idea! I have quite a few old pairs of jeans lying around, and people tend to give me their old clothing because they know I like to make things out of them. I may end up making myself a nice denim blanket for myself.
