Hiya Craftsters!

I have been loving reading and seeing all your crafty goodness on this board. I knit, crochet, make jewelry, do nautical & decorative knotting, and lots of other stuff.
I wanted to share something, so here's my favorite Christmassy (but also Valentiney) completed project:
Hope ya like it!

Absolutely love this!  I could totally use a bright red wreath to put on my bright purple front door - really freak out the neighbors for the holidays!  What did you use to make it with?  Any possibility of a tutorial?

Thanks for the compliments.

hellocharlotte - I'm pretty bad at writing directions, but here are some vague explanations about how I made it - don't know if it counts as a tut, tho:

Got a vinyl-coated (green) wire wreath form from the flowery-planty section of a nearby giant they-have-everything craft store.

Got one red feather and one red maribu boa.

Went home and scrounged up some thin wire.

Fiddled with boas until I was happy with the coverage, then wired them on from underneath.

Hope that's clear enough.  I got one feather and one maribu (fluffy-fuzzy) boa, rather than two feather boas because the maribu was cheaper & when I was playing with the items at the store the single feather boa didn't cover enough of the wire form.

I really want to hang this on the front door, but I've moved to a house that has a sickly-dull maroon colored door & the vibrant red doesn't stand out in a good way on that color.  Short of painting the door (and ticking off my SO, probably) I'm trying to figure out what to do with it this year - I guess I could hang it up inside.
Any thoughts?

Hang it in a prominent window!  ooh oh, if you're like me, maybe thread some of those fun white christmas lights around it, or just around the window to draw the eye to it.  Even with your curtains/blinds/whatever open, that'll stand out better than on a maroon door!! Smiley

Excellent idea, craftyavonlady! I'm not sure which window I'll use, but I've got just the set of lights to use.
Thanks.
