wow hey i mustve missed all the replies... thanks ladies...this hat is really easy to make. it took me 2 trys before i 'figured it all out'. but still the first 2 were very lovely!

i had to read the directions a few times over...also the markings of the different sides of the top parts are really important.

These also REALLY  make me want to find a pair of those huge aviator goggles.  Sigh... I bet they're all being snapped up on eBay right now... *runs to check*

I got my googles at an army surplus store for $20 like one fifth the price they go on ebay....hmm i have a money making idea.

This is great.  I'm obsessed with aviator's hats and have been looking for a pattern. Thanks

I don't know if you're going to read this, but the site link isn't working for the tutorial, I was wondering if you have the instructions saved on your computer?  That would be cool.

Thanks!  Sky

Site seems fine now - I'm going to make a modded one of these in leather, and I have some great sparkly purple suede I'm going to try. Not for me though, I don't think it'd suit me Tongue

You'll have to imagine the darker one is a sparkly purple - I think the leather was old stock from the Doc Martens factory. It's pink suede inside, as seen on the reversed pic Smiley

It worked out a bit small for me but then, it ain't really my colour Tongue
