It's been a great week for unconditional love Chez Synne! Look at the goodies I got from the talented aschnebly today!
I wished for a pin/brooch (citing the tape measure rosette) to pin my shawls together, and she sent me not one, not two, or even three or four, but FIVE awesome pins!
Check them out (along with her cute notecard)

I totally wanted kanzashi flowers!!! These two are going to go perfectly with all my clothes, the one funky and colorful, the other vintage and ladylike. I don't know if you can see, but the toile one has a cool retro-looking button with a ring of stars on it. The ribbon rosettes are in the perfect color--pink! (It really does look good on just about everyone!)
She even made me two baby ribbon rosettes--aren't they the most darling little things?

I might wear the whole family together on a blazer...
The requisite headless bathroom-mirror action shot (see? it goes perfectly with this capelet!):

Thank you so so much ashnebly for sharing your crafty talent with me!!! I can't wait to show them off tomorrow!

Here's a badly overdue question from me: what exactly are stitch markers for?  I mean, how do you use them?   Embarrassed

You put them between stitches in your knitting and they help you keep track. Either of pattern repeats, or of the start point when knitting in the round. They also look cute and make you smile when you see them.. but that's just a side-effect  Smiley

Shoot, I forgot to take pics, as usual! I didn't mean to be secret. I was just in so much of a rush I forgot to add a note! Just incase you dont know, you can pop them in the prezzer for 1/2 hour or in the mic for 30 seconds, I should have put that in the note I didn't write! LOL Anyways, I really hope that you and Bryce like them!

I received from Lucy Van Pelt!  I requested something food-related--kitschy, odd, interesting, whatever.  She sent me this casserole cookbook from 1961:

It's got lots of photos, but they probably would have been smarter NOT to include pictures!   Cheesy  They're truly astounding.  Check out this sandwich:

Yep, it's a beans & weenies sandwich.  Those are baked beans underneath split cocktail weiners, stuffed with mustard.  There's so much more... something from this will end up on my kitchen wall.  Thanks, Lucy Van Pelt!
