Hi I thought since this thread is music oriented people might be interested in this.  I don't know if many people on this thread are familiar with the music genome project but you can access it through this site http://www.pandora.com/. It is truly amazing and free.  It is a program where you type in your favorite bands and it compiles your own customized open stream radio station based on the attributes of the music you pick and you can program up to 100 stations.  It is not like other programs, the music isn't picked by what other people have purchased so the choices it comes up with can be pretty cool.  Anyway, I have been listening to it today while cleaning, and I have bookmarked about 15 bands that I absolutely love that I had never heard of before. Give it a listen its completely cool, and no I don't work for them!

I used to use sonicnet and it did something similar..I heard of a lot of good bands that way....too bad I only have dial-up or I would try that out.

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

For some reason I'm in a Pink Floyd mood lately. Maybe it's cause I'm sick. Maybe it's winter.

Wow. Thanks so much for that link. This site is a whole lot better than other sites that try to figure out what you might like

Hmmm... well, if my friend hadn't have lost the CDs, I would be listening to Mando Diao and Electric Eel Shock.... as it is, Protocol's free sample minidisc I got given (only about ten minutes long, but goooood) The Paddingtons, Death Cab, Kings of Leon, Red Light Knights, Alkaline Trio, Rancid (LOVE the basslines....) The Vandals...... and the oddball choice, anything by or similar to Santana. Love it.
