Ok, if anybody has a site on godaddy.com, I have a few questions. When your order a transfer or something, and you use your apges from geocities, will the adds and everything still pop up? and whn you have a transfer page, do you get just the front page or multiple pages?  I'm pretty confused.  I'm just trying to find a pretty cheap webhost- but that's kinda hard to do!

You're using GoDaddy's domain registration services, or their hosting? As I recall (and all my domains are registered through GoDaddy), they only have page-parking / junior hosting type services.

What would you consider cheap hosting, and what are you looking for? I use Dreamhost for everything and I LOVE them. I'd be happy to discuss them with anyone who's interested - and if you click through to them from a link on my site, I get credit towards my own hosting...though that's not why I like them! They're reliable, their tech support is insanely great and I've never NOT been able to install and run anything I wanted...

Hi  Smiley

When your order a transfer or something, and you use your apges from geocities, will the adds and everything still pop up?

If you like your godaddy url to geocities, you'll still get popups.

and whn you have a transfer page, do you get just the front page or multiple pages?

It depends on what you mean by transfer- if you transfer the 'hosting' of the website to godaddy instead of geocities (removing them completely) then you will get unlimited pages but a limit on the size of your total files.

If you mean the forward, the pages remain on geocities and it just 'links' the url to the old site, with all of the old pages.

Don't use GoDaddy, Use Doteasy.com, it is $35 to transfer a domain name if you have one, or $25 to register the name you want. Their hosting is free up to 20MB of space, which is pretty good for starting out, and from seeing your site, you could fit onto easily.
