Hello peeps,

This is the heads up to all of you who may be interested in participating in a fair in good ol' milwaukee... the dates are Nov. 4 & 5th 2004.  The applications have not yet been made as of yet, but will be available online and by mail SOON!  anyone is invited to apply, i am encouraging not only crafters but artists, photographers, etc. to participate (get it? ART vs. CRAFT).

* To be put on the mailing list email: art_vs_craft@yahoo.com  www.flyingfishgallery.com
* Information and online application will be available at www.flyingfishgallery.com (there will be a art vs. craft selection on the home page soon).

Art vs. Craft will be held indoors in this really really cool 1920's ballroom called Turner Hall, it has two floors and I can't wait too see it filled with booths filled with fancies!!!

Tell your friends, get the word out....

***UPDATE***
Wellllll, lot's and lot's of amazing folks are applying to Art vs. Craft and I can't believe it- most of them are from way far away!! Which of course if awesome and rad BUT hello Wisconsin REPRESENT here.... Just a friendly reminder that I am still accepting applications for a few more months- apply now and start prepping.  Mostly I want people to apply now so I can project how much interest there will be and how quick the space is going to fill up. Seriously though one lady is coming from Texas, how rad!! I'm really excited if you can't tell  xox Faythe aka Miss. Flying Fish

NICE NICE NICE JOB on the craft fair!! I went tonight and had a great time, and spent some cash too  Wink  Hopefully will be back tomorrow. You should definitely have this next year too!! Think my parents might have even stopped by, and the crowd from the Turner's fish fry was even coming up! Very cool. Nice event!! And the number of vendors way surpassed what I was expecting. Overall it was beautiful. Put me in mind of this indoor craft fair thing we went to in New York, only way way bigger.

I agree with milwjamie -- fabulous job on the fair.  I also spent some money and had an excellent time.  Fabulous setting too -- I love that old building.

I was extremely impressed with the quality of the stuff at AvC.  Seemed like, overall, there was a really high standard of craftsmanship(craftwomanship?).  I had some stuff on a friend's table, and I sold a lot more than I was expecting to.  Thank you, flyingfish, for bringing something cool & interesting to Milwaukee, AND for proving that people will come to it!

Guess what though we have OVER 1,500 people though the door this weekend at Art vs. Craft!!!!

I'm soooooo tired, so excited and so ready to make stuff for the trunk show next weekend in Chicago!

There will be a second annual Art vs. Craft, I'll let everyone know as soon as the plans begin!

Much love to the crafting community,
