Just finished this for a friend who's going abroad for a while, I was trying to think of something light she could take with her, so it came down to paper!

I handmade the paper from white office and brown paper shredded with a small amount of silver glitter for the odd but of sparkle. The brown paper had a weird silver backing to it (reclaimed from packing paper) so it was a bit of an experiment!

Then I added the butterflies and some of the text, before adding a thin layer of paper pulp and peeling some of the bits away to reveal the images. I added some magazine cut outs and using a black pen drew on top to add some more details and embellishments!

Thanks guys for the nice words! It's a bit messy making the sheets, but great when you come to the finer details. I do try to leave some of the texture in so it has a hand made look - it seems to work better with the drawings and collaged bits.

Here's another one I did for my sister 'Egg'...
