I can't remember what this type of hat is called, so I just went with "newsboy hat." Anyway, I found a pattern for it in the super old book I got from the library and thought it was adorable! I would have modeled it but 1: I don't really like how I look in hats and 2: It is 1 inch too small for my head! Anyone have a head that a 21" hat would fit on and want to buy this sucker? I'm working on one that will fit me right now.

ok ok.. I know you don't need another picture but it's just too cute in black and white for me not to put this one here too.. I wanted the other ones in color so you could see how the hat really looks.

i'm so glad that i'm not the only one that subjects their dog to model my projects.  whew.

and the hat is pretty cool.  yeah, i'm wondering which book that is too b/c my library is also ripe with some styling ol' sewing books.  but they probably want me to return the books that overdue before i can check out anymore...

i dig the fabric choices that you put together for the hat too.

The book is called "Cloth hats, bags 'n baggage" and it's by Dorothy Frager.  It's got some cute ideas in it (like this hat) but it's also got some hideously ugly 70's things haha.. it's fun to look through!

Heh!  Don't all books?  Tongue  I just got a neato book on underwear-making.  And man, are there some weird 70's color combos in that thing!

Ok..first things first.  That hat is adorable on you ( jealous "i look stupid in hats" person here )  Wear that hat with pride, girl !! lol  You ahve to get a pic of you and the dog together with your hats on! That would be so fun.  How many people have matching hats for them and their pet ?   (love the B&W photo)

Now....is that wool , flannel or ....?  Super cute material. How much would you charge for it? My daughters thankfully look great in hats and have quite a collection...one that is always being added to.

That's so cute! You and your dog have matching hats! Smiley Those are very nifty. I don't think I'd have the patience to make one Cheesy
