Up till today, I hadn't even hand sewn anything- I really am challenged in that department. But I wanted to join in on all the fun with the Jordy bags, so I conned my mom into helping me.

We got the fabric at Wal-Mart- the inner lining is plain black and was $1/yard. The outside is a very cool dragon pattern that mom spotted (she knew I'd love it...did I mention I love my mommy? ~grin~) and that was like $3.49/yard.  I bought some very cool gold tassels to use to close it but they seem to have sprouted legs and walked away, so I'll have to go back and get more and attach them later....

I'm really pleased with the results, as I now have a cool way to tote all my new crochet implements---> THANK YOU JORDY!!!!

The matching crochet hook holder is my next project..... Smiley <addicted now!

Ok - I'm going to have to shop for fabric at a different place - LOL!  I have that fabric but in blue and orange.  Your bag looks terrific - great job!  Grin

I totally recommend you try it. It's SUCH a confidence builder. I just got Butterick 3343 (instructions for 8 different totes/bags) and I'm ready to try them now.

I think the Jordy bags are just as good as any of these though! And I'm now using my bag to carry a couple diapers for my 2 year old, a few small toys, change of clothes, a bottle and my crafty supplies. I LOVE the bag! I don't look like supermom anymore, now I have something stylish to cram it all into!
