This is my second sundress/laundry dress from this pattern. (The first one from flame material that I had cut eleventy million years ago, but never sewn.) I love the material! So girly, but fierce. It was a tumultuous project with bias tape from my mom's supply (aka 1970s) that didn't want to stay put and the bag really wanted to be sewn together upside down, so eventually, I just let it.

Summer may be over, but at least I can wear it for day of the dead or something!

Pattern is lifted from a sundress I already had and ripped apart. Skirt is two identical shapes and the top has darts for better fit.

Mendel's Far Out Fabrics in San Francisco

http://www.mendels.com/mendels.html

I don't see it on their website, but I believe it is called "Tattoo fabric" and they have it in pink, off white, white and black, methinks. I think it's Alexander Henry (the best fabric maker ever in my opinion)

That dress is great!  I love the idea of sweet & spicy.

I have that fabric in the black and tea colored background.  I just haven't used them yet.  I have a fear of cutting my favorite fabrics.  I'm always afraid that once I use them up, I won't be able to find them again.

You can also get this and other great fabrics on www.reprodepot.com or www.buyfabricsonlin e.com

I'll try to get up some pics of me in it.

YES, REPRODEPOT is rad! I've never used the other one, but thanks for the tip! I heart cute fabric.

I get all my Alexander Henry stuff at www.equilter.com - they have the best international shipping I've found and they donate a portion of each sale to charity. And they usually put little stickers on my invoice. Smiley

My mom wants pajama bottoms for christmas this year so one of the pairs is going to be in AH's 1940s paper doll-print flannel. yay!
