I've got a ton of extra embroidery floss (variety of brands) from all the cross stitch kits I've done over the years.  Does anyone have a good idea as to where I can donate this to?  I was thinking schools, or maybe the local women's shelter, as someone is bound to be 'crafty', but thought I'd open it up to the group to see if someone had any other good ideas.  Again, there's no consistency to brands or colors, so I'm not sure what to do with it all.

Thanks!

You might try an afterschool program. My daughter and her friends use the floss to make friendship bracelets- the kind with lots of knots.

Aha, I KNEW someone would have a great idea!  Not sure why I didn't think of that myself...I did the friendship bracelet thing as a kid, too!

Thanks!

*sigh* That was my one good idea for the day. Now I'm left with peanut butter and jelly for dinner because my creativity is spent. ha ha ha.
I think it is great that you are donating.
