I made this a while back, before the blazer explosion! It was thrifted, and cost me about $5.00. I jazzed up the fake pockets with a split stitch.

Adorable, matey! I've been wanting to do the same thing, and add some lace at the sleeves. I want to get a kind of man's blazer and embroider all over it... so many things to embroider...

ahahaha! that's GREAT! I can't let my boyfriend see it. He'd want one. And that would probably involve him taking MY velvet blazer and insisting i embroider it for HIM.

He has ranked all superheroes/ mythical characters, and pirates are second in the heirarchy, only less cool than invisible ghost ninjas; and more cool than Batman and regular ninjas.... *sigh*

"blazer explosion." ha!

great job. even without the embroidery (which we all know makes it), the fake pockets idea really added to the overall cut of the jacket.

arrr...
