Your suitcase is so cute!  I have an old one that I found for just $1.00 too!  How lucky are we?  Wink I've had mine for a while but haven't done anything with it other than store old bed sheets.  Hopefully, this will give me the motivation necessary to work on it soon!

Love it, love it, love it.  I have been imagining decoupaging a suitcase but yours brings a smile to my face!

Ok Here is one of the giraffe suitcases I made, the inside still kinda smells funny so I'm going
to get some animal print fabric and redo the inside.

I really like the bubblegum pink, my parents have 2 suitcases that my mom might throw out. I've gotta tell her not to. But I've got a question for you:

How do you go about upholstering a suitcase? Would you use a staple gun to keep the fabric in?

I'm so excited I'm so going to do that when I get back from vacation.

Nothing beats going to Denny's at 10 pm with Becoming The Archetype and sharing a milkshake with Seth. Nope, nothing.

Love all your suitcases!

I picked up this ugly puke mustard "Train" case at Goodwill for right around a couple bucks and now it's my heavy duty toiletry case!  I just used ModgePodge to adhere the fabric on and then good ol' hot glue for the beaded trim and boa.  It makes me smile everytime I walk into my bathroom!

I am SO jealous of that train case!!!! Now I've got to go and get one (By the way...since posting this I've done over 5 other suitcases! When will it ever stop?) !

When upholstering, I just stretched the fabric across really tight and stapled the edges. Then, I uses some cording to go around the raw edges so it wouldn't look so messy.
