Hi All, this is a modified version of Knitty's Coronet hat. I did this one in Noro on size 10's for the cabled band and then size 8's just to do the top and to close it up. I love how it turned out. It was my first time using Noro and I loved being surprised by the colors as they changed.

Let me know what you think and thank you for looking!  Grin

Hi Huhwhat: It took me a little while because it was my first cabling project. The way the pattern works is that the band is done flat and then stitches are picked up to close the top so that makes it easier and quicker to do I think. I'm happy you like it.  Smiley

Craftykate: Yes, I loved the Noro. My friend had purchased two skeins and let me have one of them. I got this hat out of one and I even have a little left to do something else. I am thinking of doing some felted flowers or something small like that.  Smiley

Thanks you two.  Smiley
Sewincbm: although it was slow going, this cable pattern wasn't too bad. I just had to have the pattern in front of me and made sure I was reading it line by line. I think other cable patterns will go the same way. At least I hope so. I like doing the cables just cause they look so damn fancy and aren't even that hard.  Wink
Linda63pt:thanks for the compliment. Yes, I too have seen some pretty amazing projects on this board and am inspired by all you other craftsters.
