Multi-Crafter!

I saw this basketweave potholder and decided it would make a nice scarf. I have never ever made anything (knit or crochet-wise) without keeping my eyes glued firmly on the pattern. Now, granted, this is really simple, I am still pretty proud of myself for taking the chance. It was only supposed to be six feet long, but I met my husband's great aunt Friday and I knit throughout (this being really simple and having a beaded stitch marker in the break, so I really couldn't screw it up) and it turned out just a couple of inches over 7 feet  Shocked ! As it turned out, IMHO, really nice and soft (don't know what kind of yarn, was a gift, and just lovely, I decided to send it along to my best friend who's b-day is in a couple of weeks. Considering how I am known for being a procrastinator this will just knock her socks off LOL. Since my b-day is 10 days after her, I'm betting I get a wicked nice return gift (although she give great gifts)! Plus I have enough yarn to make one for me as well! So it's a win/win! When i put the pom-poms on it I thought it looked jester-y so I have been calling it my jester scarf lol.

I am usually not a fan of fringe or pom poms on scarves, but I really like how the poms look on yours. I love it.
