I had this shirt in my closet that my mom bought me a while ago (she & my dad are former marines) & was wondering what to do with it, since it didn't fit me too well & it was a bit too plain on its own. Luckily, I found this amazing tutorial by astrea (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=39134.0) & some cheap floral fabric, & my new hoodie was born.

As always, I made some stupid mistakes in making this. I sewed a sleeve on inside-out & cut out the pieces for the hood wrong, but hey, it all turned out great in the end. Smiley

Super, super look! I love the unexpected combination!! I have some plain looking shirts that you are inspiring me to look at twice. Gotta get a separating zipper though.....(putting it on my to do list....) Thanks for the inspiration!!

Thank you all! I did mean for the combination of fabrics to be somewhat.. ironic? If that's the right word.

I don't know why but i really just love this.  It looks so professional.

I am in love with your coloring by the way - what ethnicity are you?
