EDIT: So the pics are uploaded Grin

This place rocks! I had no idea I wanted to sew purses until I came here looking for a zipper tutorial and boy the wealth of information and inspiration is just incredible!!

2 purses, the blue one is a birthday present for a good friend of mine...I keep thinking it needs something more, but I haven't figured anything out yet...any ideas?? It has a zip pocket and a magnetic snap closure.

The inside:

This green/orange purse is one I made for my mom for her birthday. I knew I had to get really detailed with cc pockets and such if I wanted her to actually use it so... It has 2 interior pockets and a zip pocket, the outer zipped section has a bunch of cc pockets, a cell phone pocket and a slit pocket with a button (added later)

The inside:

the outside zip compartment:

Phew, that was a hard one and the zip compartment turned out crooked as I was totally rushing to finish it in time.

hope you like:)

Where is "home" located?  That may be the problem.  For instance...here home would be craftster.org.

Wow, I'm impressed with your pocket-ing skills. Two lovely bags. Maybe a colorful brooch or a flower for the first bag, perhaps on the flap? I like it how it is, however, and maybe she'll have her own idea or addition.

I love all the pockets for your mom. I wish I liked doing pocket, more, but alas....Smiley

Thanks:) They're not huge bags so I was hesitant to make the blue one too busy. The lining is a really nice linen from my grandmother in germany. If I had thought about it more, I would have embroidered some white and light blue flowers in one of the bottom corners, but I think it'd be too hard to do it now.

I seriously had no idea how easy pockets could be until I came here. This is such a great place.

These are really cute.  I love the colors on the second bag especially!

And hoping for an early death you swam so far you lost your breath, and struggling in the ebb and flow I took your hand, but you let go...
And now the ocean fills your lungs, and now you've got what you had come for, resting peaceful as you sink to drown under a sea of strangers.

Grin The gold panel on the front and on the pockets are actually a beautiful dupioni silk. My mom really likes the fall colors and I thought I could do a durable purse that still has some elegance and to it.
