I made this journal for my sister mainly from stuff we usually throw away at work. The paper on the outside is some scrapbook paper that my mom didn't want, and the dental floss and rubber cement is my own. I read on here (I don't remember who wrote it, though) that someone used dental floss to bind the pages together, so I tried it, and it worked quite nicely. I put some rubber cement along the spine, closed it, put some clips on it to hold the pages together, propped it up against something, and let it dry. The pages are made up of scraps that had been trimmed off of bigger pages, and the cardstock for the front and back covers and spine was too small for us to use, and would have normally been trashed.
Here is the outside:

My sister's name is Gina, so I made a "G" out of copper wire and used rubber cement to glue it down.
Here is the inside:

I had leftover scrapbook paper, so I made a bookmark to go in it, with a holder.
Thanks for looking!

Wow, that looks really professional! The matching bookmark is a very nice touch too. I'm sure your sister will be really pleased with it!
