So my BF is an art school grad with some serious craft-phobia. Other than that, we get along fine. Imagine my surprise when I came home to see him cutting up an old, busted pair of cargo pants to make a purse satchel! He sewed the two cargo pockets together and attached the waistband to make a strap. He needed more length, so he used some of the leftover material to extend the strap, and just happened to find a bag of buttons on his way home from the bar that night! What luck! There is also a backing, to be used as a magazine pouch.

It's like a koala bear crapped a rainbow in my brain!

tell him that sewing is just like building anything else- you just use different materials.... and he did a great job. he must be absorbing some of your craftiness by osmosis

Horray for crafty boys!!!!! I never thought it would happen but my fiance sewed me something......i love seeing guys on here b/c it shows that sewing isnt just for girls or gay guys....haha he did wonderful!!

I paint these little pictures with a temporary poison. each one just like the other. i wonder why i even bother.
