My halloween costume!!!!
5 yards red tulle, 2 yards red grosgrain ribbon, and 2 yards stretchy newsprint fabric from the dollar bin.
Tube top plus "circle" skirt (actually a square with the corners pulled up and fastened with safety pins and red ribbon.)
Add a beer tab belt for kicks.
Stencil "LIES!" across the top.
Make a statement about responsible media consumption?
Nah. Well, kinda.

Thanks! Here's the top:

and the skirt:

for the netting, I folded it in half, ran a yarn needle through in a running stitch, and tied the yarn off at the appropriate diameter. I wanted it to sit below my butt, and be loose enough for dancing. Then, I moved the scrunched up netting around the yard loop until it was more or less even. I safety pinned the whole thing where i wanted it on the skirt. Then, because I left the corners on my circle/square skirt, i pulled them up to reveal more netting. I safety pinned those, too, and tied ribbon bows around the exposed part of the pins.

I may go back and stabilize the skirt, but all that really means is more pins!

It is GORGEOUS! I'd wear that until it wore out, or I ran out of money for the drycleaner.
