I have to second the love of John Denver and the Muppets...I grew up listening to it on record, lost it during the tape years, and found it on CD a couple of years back...it just isn't Christmas without the Muppets!

I like the Cerys Matthews/Tom Jones "Baby it's cold outside" and the Pretenders "2000 Miles". And the Charlie Brown music is the best, but not really sing along-ish. I'll have to check out those indie comps for sure!

Have you seen the Muppet Family Chirstmas?  When I was little, we taped it off TV, but it was a bad dubbing, so when I "grew up" (ha!), I got it off of ebay.  I love it!  And it just isn't Christmas without it!

Making an effort to use proper English and not 'net slang makes me much more willing to respond to your post.

There seems to be so much interest in offbeat Christmas music that I was thinking someone should run a Christmas CD swap!  Just an idea.

I can't believe no one has suggested The Sonics - "Don't Believe in Christmas" and/or "Santa Claus."
