well, it's my first dress ever. i'm going as princess peach (mario bros)  for the dress i made but so far i can't help but think that i'll look like little bo peep 

I think the dress looks a lot like hers!  Do you have a blue jewel on the chest?  I can't see whether you do or not.  If not, add one and put some gold trim or something around it.  And I'm assuming you have a tiara.

thankees the only ones i could find that were the right size were pink, but i'll try to look for some today

Okay. Finished both of these yesterday.  I never finish anything before the last minute.  I don't know what I'm gonna do with my day tomorrow.

The top one is me.  Bird with the flu.  (aka birdflu)

The bottom is the costume my pregnant wife will be wearing.  As you can see, it is an oven.  With a bun in it.

my little Jedi. He was Sooooooo picky about the whole thing. He had to be Padawan Obi-Wan. None of that Anakin or Darth Vader nonsense for him. As he explained it to me, "Mom, Anakin turns bad. I have to be the good guy." He watched all 5 of the currently released movies in the span of 2 days to make sure I got the details right.

I was the Halloween Fairy last night...



Quick rundown of my costume:
* Crown from costume shop, $5
* Necklace made from dollar store pin (it's a purple spider on a spiderweb), $1
* Wings from Goodwill, $8
* Wand made from strofoam ball, dowel, paint, and googly eyes, about $4
* Dress I had already, $0
* Purple and black striped tights from Goodwill, $4
* Armwarmers made from Goodwill gloves, $3
* Ribbon and Incredible yarn, $7
* Makeup kit (including glitter lashes), $9

I'm a bargain hunter, so I'm so proud of my $41 costume!  By the way, that's my brother, the 70's tennis player
