I finally got a digital camera so I can post my halloween costume from this year!  I was Yoshi from Super Mario Brothers (I hope that is obvious) The inspiration came from this post by addictedtoplushies.

Here is the full costume (and yes I know Yoshi didn't really wear a skirt but i didn't feel like making pants):

Please ignore the silly pose. I was trying to channel Yoshi and his goofy smile Wink

And a close up of my favorite part, the Yoshi Egg Bag!

I realize Halloween was 6 months ago, but just joined Craftster so I thought I'd share last year's costume. I had a broken finger that required pins that stuck out the skin, (pretty gross but basically looked like two thumb tacks sticking out) so I tried to come up with a costume centered around this infirmity. The idea was basically one of those old time sponsored beauty queens (like Marilyn Monroe was something like Miss Calif Artichoke Queen) but this time I would be sponsored by an office supply company, hence, Little Miss Staples Catalogue...

The dress was made by sewing While You Were Out Message squares to an old pillow case, the crown was binder clips in varying sizes clipped to a headband, the scepter was highlighters topped with a rubber band ball (not pictured), the earrings were mini Sharpies. Painted my fingernails with white-out and called it a day!

Miss Staples you are soooo cute.  That is the best, most original costume I've seen in a while!

i like rusty spoons!

i was salad fingers. i realized it was a bit obscure and lots of people had no idea who i was. but the few who did thought it was pretty awesome.

i would of had two hands/done a better job if my pfaff hadn't given out.. blast!
if you don't know who salad fingers is go to http://www.fat-pie.com/salad.htm (you either love him or he creeps you out)

I made a jawa costume for my little girl who is a huge star wars fan. I meant for her to be wearing gloves and black face but she was a little grumy after two birthday parties.(her birthday is halloween) The eyes light up and the blaster is screen acurate but kinda heavy. I'm hoping she'll still fit in it for comic-con this year.

I was Wonder Woman..

I stenciled the shirt, made the skirt, tiara, golden lasso, and bracelets, and I put electrical tape on red soccer socks.

My friend was a dead... something. She came over to my house with just the red dress on, so I slapped on some insane fake eyelashes and blood.
