Sorry the type is SO SMALL but I can't get my pic to be any bigger- photobucket keeps resizing it.  If you just right click and save the pics, then open them using windows picture and fax viewer, you can zoom in and read the writing better.

Ok, here are the wings I made for my Rainbow Brite fairy costume.  These took me forever and they aren't perfect, but I am done messing with them.

Materials you need:

-Pantyhose (I got queen size to make sure they were big enough),
-Wire (bought mine at Lowe's- you want it thick enough that it won't bend easily, thicker than a hanger)
-Needle-nose pliers and wire cutters
-Paper and pencil
-paints
-feathers and plastic jewels
-hot glue and superglue
-needle and thread (I used button/carpet thread)
-ribbon
-something to make straps from (ribbon or elastic...)
-trim if you want to edge your wings

You could also paint and jewel the back of the wings, but I'm too lazy.  I don't mind what shows through the back though.

Tada!!!  I really think I want to take off the ribons hanging down though.

Those are REALLY pretty!  I think they are the most colorful wings I have ever seen!  Soooo lovely!  Painting is just gorgeous!

I am a writer but I still believe this:

Never settle with words what you can accomplish with a flamethrower.
