well, I'm not really the kinda gal who wears "hello kitty", but I made this for a girl who got flaked on in the three month swap.
I just "winged it"... I wanted it to be wearable in all weather, so I made a basic toque in double crochet, added ears and a bow.  Ta DAAAA!



And here's the reason why I don't wear these things:



Got a message from the swappee saying that she loved  it, though!

thanks girls!  Spoongirl, it's a really simple project... I think Beppycat's hat pattern is similar to what I used, and then you just make your own ears and bow!  Even if you're a new crocheter, it might be worth a try!
