I'm new to the sewing/felting world. I was wondering if anyone knows how to make felt cupcakes? Or even crocheted cupcakes? Anything would help because I plan to use these for fundraising. Thanks.

Just type in cupcake in the search bar and you'll come with pages and pages of threads on them. There are some great tutorials in there too.

Hi Heatherfeather,  did you see this one - it is sewn from acrylic felt not needle felted or wet felted, but very cute and easy to make for a fundraser.  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=51464.0

You could do a needle felted cupcake - though not have been posted here yet.  You could needle the entire thing or needle over a foam base you cut to cupcake shape.

When is your fundraiser and how fast to you need to make the cupcakes?  Also what price can you pay for materials and what price can you charge for the finished product?  That would make a difference in what you can do costeffectively.

Best wishes on raising tons of cash.

Hi Heatherfeather,  glad the info was helpful.  Those cupcake pins are so cute!  Also a great way to work on beginner sewing skills, so best wishes in your efforts.

Yes, the hat you are referring to is needle felted.  By the time you get back to read this, there should be a different one up.  Like to change them each month.  Do love to wear and to make hats, for sure.

I do sell a few things exclusively through a local brick and mortar store.  Internet sales and mail order just are not my way.  But thanks so much for the interest.

My main goals in being on Craftster are to simply share ideas and to encourage other's who love fiber to make stuff too.

So Sew and Enjoy!
