^^^I love your tins! I also have fallen in love with those new Verbatim vinyl-looking CDs. Unfortunately, I had just bought a pack of new CDs before I saw those...I'll have to burn like the wind.

Hobnail boots wrapped 'round her toes
When she turned blue all the angels screamed
They didn't know they couldn't make a scene.

She had to run, run, run run, run.

awesome idea for the cases!  i couldn't think of anything to do with those; i always saved the disks and chopped them up to make a disco ball out of them (i saw it on craftychica.com) but i still have yet to complete that !  Undecided

you can also stick them whole onto a wall to create a mirror - not a very good one, but it does the trick and it looks cool.  i also used them to border doorways in my old apt.

now i love it when these things come in the mail!

I used one of those new wood-like boxes they're handing out for my french project. I made a DVD, and used the box as a... box! i covered the outside with red duct tape and wrote on it with sharpies in French. C'est Super!

let me see your gila

I have about 30 of these because they were just sitting in our campus mail room...

I was wondering if you need a special kind of spray paint for the metallic surface or if there is any special treatment required because the surface is metal?

i found this pretty cool idea (i think Huh) on the internet where you can make a clock out of ur AOL cds (not the tins...the cds). You just decorate the cd with paint or painting markers and you paint on the nummbers. You can also decorate around the numbers to make it look purty Shocked. Then you attach the clock hands (i dont kno how that works...they just said to use "clock works"). You can also decorate the clock hands if u want. im not eally sure how 2 do this but its just an idea... Smiley

 Kiss I know where you can get as many tins as you need or the wooden case that AOL mails out. go to www.ispdisk.com and send an email to the site and ask tins, they sell for about .20 each! You can find them on eBay but they are about $1 each, good luck
