I found the fabric at JoAnn Fabrics on the decorator flat fold table.  I got the ribbon at a little stationary story in Seaside, Florida.

Great job!  I'm a huge fan of the chocolate brown!  Especially suede.  I've never worked with suede before.  Is it difficult to work with or does it require any special tricks?

No, it's really not a problem at all.  This was upholstery material and was a lot easier than the first time I tried leather.  Wear some sort of thimble or cover on your finger because it hurts trying to push the pins through two layers of material, but that was the only challenge.  I really want to go back to JoAnn's and see if they have any other colors...

I have to say I had a hard time parting with that bag. I ended up giving it to my sister in law who works in downtown Cincinnati with the instructions that she has to tell everyone who comments on it that they too can own one just like it.  I made another one and added a padded pocket on the inside for a laptop.  I am off to Hancock Fabrics tomorrow to buy a pattern called "Tech gear" so I can make laptop sleeves and other gadety stuff.
