So cute!  Your friend is very lucky.  Nice job with the horse applique and I love the color combinations you've used!  nice job!!!

wow.

that is a really nice bag. the horses are sweet, yet not pound-you-over-the-head cutesy. a person could really use this bag, and not feel embarrassed by the pattern. hee hee hee. i also really like your fabric pairings. the color pallete and stripes vs. solids and all that. very nice work.

I would be pleased to receive such a nice bag, i'm sure your friend was too!

Thank you so much!  I worked really hard on that bag.  My friend teached horseback riding and I wanted some sort of horse motif but everything I found was too much.  I found the ponies as clip art in word.  The pattern is from Amy Butler www.artofthemidwest.com

Very nice!  She will really enjoy it!

The colors are great!  I was just commissioned to make a purse for my cousin for Christmas.  She teaches riding as well, and they have many horses of their own.  My aunt told me, "english saddles, not western, sage green and/or burgendy".   Grin
