This is a log bag or baguette style purse that I just finished and I wanted to show it off.  Grin

That's beautiful! Great job.

Did you use a stabilizer to help it not fold up in the middle? Whenever I make a purse that shape, as soon as I put my wallet in it, it folds in half. Any tips??

Hi,

That's a nice purse I love your fabric. Smiley

I made a purse like that a while bag and I had the sagging in the middle situation, what I did that helped a little was to get a piece of thick cardboard, cut it to fit at the bottom and covered it with fabric (same as linning). It worked for me, try it.

Thanks everyone!   Grin   To stabilize the bottom I do what Katy does but I use plastic canvas instead of cardboard, that way it can be washed.  I did another purse, not as long but the same stye, from denim.  I'll post pics when I get a chance.

you could also try thin plastic, or that thin colored foam stuff.  The best advice i can give though is not to put the handles at both ends, instead center them.

Wow...thanks for the plastic canvas tip!!!  I would have used cardboard also but I like to have the option to wash it.  You were using your noggin! Cheesy
