i made this some months ago but did not have a camera until now SO without further ado, my peacock bag:

the peacock, for those of you who aren't cross-stitch junkies, is from a cross-stitch kit i found among my possessions. i love the colors and the fact that it's on BLACK AIDA CLOTH, as opposed to the usual grubby white (or at least it is by the time you're done with it), but when i finished it i realized i had no purpose for it. liking it much, but not wanting to get rid of it (i refuse to keep things that don't have a practical purpose), i actually made this bag JUST SO I'D HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT.

because it was made for the peacock, i had to make  the inside of the bag match it.

aaaannnnnnd because i have a fetish for extraneous things (fasteners and pockets in particular), it has 14 pockets

i've actually found a use for most of them. in retrospect (now that i've read about how to actually make bags on here), i should have interfaced this sucker. but when i made it i had no idea how to make messenger bags.

somehow this did not stop me from making gussets  Undecided

~note~ when i say this is my bag i mean i made it for me, not to sell (wow, this has got to be the only thing i've made for myself in MONTHS. )
