Ok, so I just found this site:

http://www.calicohouse.com.au/

and love some of their own fabrics - I also *adore* the Cath Kidston stuff they sell, and the toiles are nice too.  I'm wondering if anyone has bought from them before, or, if anyone has made a quilt from Cath Kidston and can tell me whether the fabric is ok for quilting.  I had thought it might be too thick.  It's so pretty, I'm imagining a really beautiful quilt made from some combination of Cath Kidston and some slightly less expensive things Smiley

I have never purchased from them, but I will check them out.

I have sewed a bit w/Cath Kidston's fabric.  It is heavier that traditional quilt fabric, but it is a personal choice.  I think the biggest problem with Cath Kidston fabric is the price.

I usually purchase online or roady to Chicago to go to Fishmans and Vogue.

Hope that helps.

I made a nine-patch quilt this year with loads of my stash, including Cath Kidston cotton duck fabrics. This was long arm quilted, and has turned out successfully. As to hand quilting, I can't comment, as I haven't tried that yet.
I haven't got a good pic of the quilt yet, but hope to take one soon, and post it on here.
Have a go, & we'd all love to see your quilt! Wink I love CK fabrics too.
Happy quilting.... and New YEAR! Grin
