I bought this pattern booklet off eBay, having seen only the cover.  It arrived in the mail this morning: gold mine!  Star Book No. 84, Dolls and Dolls, American Thread Company 1951.  All patterns are crochet.
Red Riding Hood on the cover.  I think that's Big Bad behind the houseplant...does look a bit like a rabid deer though...

Alice in Wonderland:  I'm guessing this time Alice is Going To Hell.
http://img36.photobucket.com/albums/v110/meexie/aliceinhell.jpg
Little Bo Peep is getting a little tired of losing her sheep.
http://img36.photobucket.com/albums/v110/meexie/lilbopeep.jpg
Jack and Jill.  I'm not sure if Jill is horrified, or if her arms are up because she just, um, oops!  The rhyme doesn't say *why* Jack fell down the hill, does it.

Those pictures would make awsome post cards or greeting cards...hehe.

Though I admit I have a strange sense of humor...still...I think they would be fun graphics to use.

OMG!! I laughed so hard when I saw those pictures. I would probably make color copies of those and frame them and hang them up for all to see whenever they visit my house. Wink

Cheesy Too funny!!  Big Bad really does look like Bambi's evil twin.  I kind of wonder if the photographer was kind of ticked when he found out the kind of dolls he was shooting with a title like that! Almost explains the pictures doesn't it? He he...

Oh. My. What is up with the pantaloon things on Alice? They look like bad legwarmers. And I love that they posed the Jack doll at an angle to give the picture that "action" feel Wink.

I'm pretty sure i owned that crocheted Bo Peep dress when I was a kid.  I don't know if my mom made it or if it came from someone else, but it was white with pink and yellow trim and fit a non-Barbie fashion doll I had.  The ruffle was a little more off the shoulder on her though.
Yeah, I'm old. (1957)  Deal with it.  Wink

oh my!  That made my stomach hurt from laughing!!!  My grandma used to have some dolls like that in her bathroom when I was little.  I hated them.  Their eyes would follow you when you moved!

I think I will print them on to shrinky dink paper and make some charms!!!  Hillarious!

You think it's horrifying to see it in graphic form? Please pity me as I see these in real life and minature form in my mother-in-law's bedroom by the dozens, which my husband and I sleep in when we visit every other Christmas. My mother-in-law has this sweet on the outside, but evil on the inside mind torture control thing she does down pact! Wink

Hi...um... I don't know if I'm committing a goof by posting on an old thread... However...
I located the 9 patterns for these, here - http://www.freevintagecrochet.com/dolls/alice-in-wonderland-doll-pattern.html

(Someone please tell me if I'm not supposed to post on the old threads.) Thank you
