I love looking at all of the creative ways to recon clothes. When something ugly is turned into something cute and wearable, it is just wonderful!

So, on this thread, I am going to feature some of the things I spotted that I think are worth an extra look!

Keeping checking for updates--your item might show up here!

By Sewln2Disney:

Whether you keep these for yourself or give them as gifts, handmade mittens and hats are welcomed by everyone living in cold country!  I am impressed by the details and fine finishing as well...I mean, lined? That is the ultimate in warmth and comfort!  Check out this awesome project!

I have always loved the Gibbous look, even before I knew what it was called!  There is something about taking a bunch of fabrics, mixing colors, textures and patterns to make clothing...this is a lovely example of function and beauty--and I am impressed with the amount of work and craftsmanship that went into this....look at all the details! (it will take a while, I warn you  Grin) (4/13/2010)

If you hate dishwashing, then use up all of your rubber gloves to make them into a creative artsy dress!
I know most people can't really wear this, but it just struck me as being totally creative and out of unusual materials. I love it! (2/22/10)

I thought this was misposted when I saw the pic. It's not! This recon is really a true recycle from a product intended for another use into clothing...amazing!(3/8/08)

Clothing from a freaking shower curtain! So cute and practical and definitely one of my favorites! (02-23-08)

Who knew that jeans could be used in this way!? And, don't you love it when guys post? I also think this is kind of funny in a very very warped way... Wink (02/02/08)

My new favorite t-shirt recon artist! Check out how big old t-shirts becomes unique and feminine yet edgy! WOW! (8/7/07)

I am not a fan of bib overalls on women (sorry, but they are shapeless and just are not that feminine- looking and they just look way too farmerish for my taste..)BUT...leave it to violentjane to make a cute and fun dress in a short time...now, this is more like it and has changed my view on bibs!(7/9/2007)

I think it is fabulous that seamstresses see clothing in everything fabric!! I love that a CURTAIN was used to make this adorable summer skirt! (06/10/07)
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=175435.msg1810090#msg1810090

Unusual for me to do two in a row, but this is a very different t-shirt recon!! I am over the 100 ways to recon a T-shirt--nice to see something else!!(04/01/2007)
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=161465.msg1630515;topicseen#new

Sometimes you can guess what the recon is going to turn out to be--this was such a nice surprise--truly ugly to truly sweet! (3/31/2007)

This recon is good for a lot of reasons: lots of items were used, action shots were terrific, Maxine (the dressform is just too cool!), and of course, the finished project. I really enjoyed this post! (02/18/2007)
