That's awesome! I LOVE grosgrain ribbon.  Actually, I'm just plain obsessed with ribbon. I swear I can't get out of Michaels without buying something in that $1 ribbon bin right by the check out counter!

Hi there.  I made one of these!  Slightly different pattern, though, but it looks very similar.  I also made a matching id case shown here. (click page 1 for the original girl's design!)

Here's my pix!

The handle is 1.5" wide ribbon that matches the blue stripe. So fun...

The inside pocket (with my id holder inside)

And the action shot.  What do you think? I love this bag! =0)  Surprisingly Roomy, too...

I love the "accent" row!

I just bought that same fabric for the lining of a potholder purse I'm making!

Great job!

I made the woven portion of this bag last night. Yay! It only took about an hour. I can't wait to get home from work today and finish it.  Grin

SewingLori, did you finish the bag? I would love to see a picture! I started on mine over the weekend and I'm almost finished. I'm just trying to decide what to do for the handles...

I did finish it... but, a coworker was so excited about it. She took it to a friend who has a local boutique here. That is the last I heard. I bought way too much ribbon, so I started a second one. I'll finish it shortly.

My last post totally sounds like a lie... I PROMISE PROMISE it is not. Smiley

I need a better technique for sewing the top part, though. My first one was alittle jumbled.
