i stitched this portrait just for this frame i found at ikea.  not surprisingly, though pretty, the frame's a piece of crap and has already broken 3 times (shocking for something that only cost $4!).  anyway. . . here's the portrait:

I just watched Diary of a Lost Girl last night and Louise has now ousted Clara Bow as my favorite silent film starlet.

you should read barry paris' biography of her.  her life was so interesting!
she also wrote a book called "lulu in hollywood" that's great.  it's a collection of articles she wrote in the "70's for, i think, the "new yorker."
