OK, so it all started when my mom bought me these shoes:

They're fantastic, right?  Although not very practical.  I had to come up with a haloween costume to go with them, because I couldn't just wear them out to dinner with friends (OK, so I did but that's not exactly the point, now is it?)

So after long hard minutes of thinking, I decided that I would dress up as a space hooker for haloween... my mom was less than impressed but what does she expect buying me light up stripper shoes?  I already had a silver halter top and I'm working on making a skirt.

I made these earrings to wear:

And tonight I did a test run of the makeup...

left eye:

right eye:

So what do you think... does the assymetry look wierd?  Should there be less black liner?  More?

And finally, most importantly, what should I do with my hair???  I have some silver glitter hairspray that will make any style into a sparkly helmet that won't go anywhere but I can't think of any kind of futuristic styles.  I'm thinking of getting some silver pipe cleaners and making sproing-ey things to attach to whatever style I end up with but I can't figure out what I'm going to do.  Does anyone have any suggestions??  I know that you fabulously crafty folks won't let me down!

I think Barbarella hair would be great.  That sort of huge 60's hair that flares out like a lion's mane.  The movie itself might be inspirational to you.  Although Barbarella wasn't a hooker per se (as she wasn't paid for it but gave it away freely), she was still a hot space girl.

Now back to the shoes.

Where did your mother find such awesome shoes?

I second the big Barbarella-esque hair. Lots of Aquanet and hot rollers....

I third it, and you could spray it with silver hair stuff.

jetson style space hair!
or pinwheel curls not unpinned, ya know? like little balls all over your head. that'd be neat with the silver "helmet"

It's so erotic when your make-up runs...

I'm with everyone else for the 60's type hair. Would definately go with it.

But hmm.. I think I'd like the makeup more symmetrical. But great idea, love the shoes!

I got wiring loose inside my head
I got books that I never ever read
I got secrets in my garden shed
I got a scar where all my urges bled
I got people underneath my bed
I got a place where all my dreams are dead
Swim with me into your blackest eyes...

Those shoes are AMAZING!  So Technicolor!  Dorothy and Cinderella, move over.

Love your makeup concept, but I would make it symmetrical.  Trouble is, I can't decide which I like best!  I guess the left side looks more spacey, though.

And yay to Barbarella hair....scifi chicks have had notoriously bad hairdos so there's not much to choose from, unless you're into sticking cinnamon buns over your ears.   Grin

I'm gonna depart from the barbarella faction and suggest dairy queen soft serve hair.  silver and swirled to a point on top of your head.  Think a Flock of Seagulls.

Thanks for such excellent ideas... I'll have to play around and see what looks best, I can't wait... I love Halloween!!

Now back to the shoes.

Where did your mother find such awesome shoes?

The shoes came from Deb, and I didn't even realize that they were missing from my life until I set eyes on them and knew that we belonged together.
