-It is knit from the top down (I picked up stitches for the collar.)

-Thanks for the tip about washing it.  I actually just tried that with a fingerless glove knit from Lamb's Pride, but its not dry yet so I can't tell if its less itchy.  I also used little kid's grape conditioner...but I rather like the strong smell of grape.

I have to say, as much as I love natural fibers, I really like Lion's Brand Wool-Ease, especially the chunky. They have really great colors, and it's a nice yarn for the price/ease of care.

On the itchiness front, I'd recommend a commercial fabric softener, liquid form. Might work. Excellent job! Top-down knitting rules.

Great job! I like the cabled collar a lot. Top down knitting is the best.

I have always been afraid of that otherwise-easy-looking tutorial just because of the cutting at the end.  how did you get around that?  did you just figure out where you wanted the zipper and knit back and forth?

really nice cardigan - the zipper looks like it is in very non-bunchy and the color is pretty.
