I was thinking and...
1) I thought it might be good to put the swap angel in their profile thing as an angel and
2) Would it be possible/ fair to let people whom have just been angels be automatically qualified for as many swaps as anyone is. (As in has not qualified in an actual "swap")

I just thought I'd see what everyone thought about this. Thanks!

i agree with putting it in the feedback, that's really important.

i usually put something like "great swapper, made an angel package" or "didn't participate in swap, but made an angel package"

the problem here though is that there are waayy too many organizers who aren't giving proper feedback! we need to start leaving comments, and being truthful in feedback!

i don't know about letting them use the angel experience as their first swap. i guess because it still isn't the same. organizers tend to be a lot more flexible about angels, because they're doing a favour, so we don't bug them as much about checking in, getting DCs, etc. i guess i just don't have an opinion.

I have a question about feedback- is their a rule about how late we let someone send before adding it in their feeback and then how long before their feeback goes negative. I think it would help to have a little guide to this.

i don't think there's anything set, because people have different opinions on it.

personally, as long as people communicate well, i'm not overly concerned with a little bit late. i will put it in feedback in reference to their communication, like "late with good communication" or "late with poor communication". but i know some people care a lot more.

feedback only goes negative if they flake, and that is a set guideline. if they were not a good swapper, but they fulfilled the swap requirements, you use the comments to reflect that. if someone has negative feedback, they can't swap anymore, so that's only used for the very specific situation.

I don't put anything in the comments about lateness unless its out of hand or with poor communication. I'm late sometimes because of life and I try to be flexible.
As far as swap angels go I don't require anything for someone to make a package. Its a good way for newbies to get some bonus karma. I put 'didn't participate in swap but was a swap angel' and give them positive feedback. I don't think they should be able to swap in real swaps until they qualify but anyone can make an angel package, especially for those swaps when you need a bunch of angels.

I have been an angel a few times, but did not recieve feedback for them.  Is there a polite way to ask for it or should I just forget about it?

You can ask the organizer if they will.

Just ask. Sometimes organizing gets to be overwhelming and I'm sure they just forget. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to do it for you.
