I'll send fabric scraps, beadgirl!

I'm in the US.  Second wish.

My list:

1.  Something to carry (e.g., purse, bag, zip pouch, whatever) with an image of Rosie the Riveter or Nancy Drew.  I love them!

2.  A purse made out of a book.  I've seen these somewhere on Craftster, and they're wicked awesome.  It would be really cool if you could actually see the book, but fabric-covered (preferably something retro or generally kind of odd) would be great, too.  And with a strap I can wear over the shoulder, so I don't lose it!

3.  A necktie bag.  I've fallen in love with those I've seen recently.

4.  A hipslinger.  I'd really love it in a geometic pattern or in something fabulously retro ('70s or earlier style).  Or black or any solid.  Or whatever.

5.  And because everybody seems to love stealing from lasandri's lists   . . . I, too, would love a food-shaped purse!  I'm vegetarian, but meat images are fine as long as they're not too juicy/bloody looking (photo of steak=not so appealing; knitted or felt steak=hilarious).   I'm liking the sushi things.  Dessert items are welcome, as well as any kitschy food--like TV dinners or Jell-O salads, which make me laugh.  Any veggies would be great.  I've loved beets my whole life--and it turns out the reason why I never ate them as a kid was because I always got sick from eating them too fast when I was a wee tot, and my parents thought it would be best not too feed them to me.  Too much information, perhaps?

6.  Anything with kitschy or humorous food images would crack me up.  Whether it's an item I could carry, or something for the kitchen, or whatever.

7.  A throw pillow.  Any of the above themes are great.  Or matching the living room or bedroom (living room is olive, red-maroon, and tan.  Bedroom is strangely close to that--dark green & deep red, mostly, but there's a quilt on the bed & I don't need it to "coordinate."

8.  Instructions & materials/tools to get me started with jewelry making.  I don't even know what I'd need, really, and I certainly don't have it.

9.  Something with retro workout images.  Sounds silly, I know.  I'm not interested in the Tae Bo guy or the dude with the long, Andre Agassi circa 1988 hair who's on infomercials.  But I'd dig something with, oh, maybe the Jane Fonda Workout or Jack LaLanne (but not selling his juicer), or really old pictures of people doing calisthenics.  1920s gymnasts?  Fantastic!  Arnold Schwartzenegger?  No, thank you.  Bodybuilders--no; big hair, leotards, & Reebok high-tops--yeah!  Could be wearable, carryable, look-at-able, whatever.

Some things about me:  I'm not trendy, I'm not girly, and I'm not punk.  I guess my favorite style is a combination of functional, retro, and a little unusual (e.g., I love my purse that looks like a 1960s/70s radio).  I have NO piercings (not even ears).  If a purse doesn't have a strap I can carry over my shoulder, I'll probably lose it.  I prefer things without overtly sexual images, since I'd like to take/wear them to work.  I love bright, deep, and earthy colors--not generally a pastel fan, although pastels have their place.  I'm vegetarian, and I'm not a fan of leather.

That may have made me sound picky, but my style/taste range actually is ridiculously wide.  If you make it, I'm  sure I'll love it!  (Dang, I'm wordy.  See why I'm Bigmouth??)

Well according to the DC# it's in Santa Cruz already, so I say go for it. You've certainly done the work and sent it out...

7) Surprize me.

About me:
I knit a lot and sew some. I have an inborn fondness for shiney things. My favorite colors are iridescent anything (mainly clear), turquoise, and orange. I am a Libra. I am in band and swim team (the only school sponsored sports that don't involve running). I like biology, anime, and other various forms of geekery. My current crafty endeavors include a showgirl style head peice and a digigrade, hooved, be-antlered, furrypantsed turquoise hind that I can wear to the Renaissance faire. Any thing that you would like to contribute to the hind costume is always appriciated.
